SCI-Arc Gallery presents Sights of Planet CityGroup exhibition inspired by artists, architects and curators Liam YoungAn ongoing environmental art project that started in 2021. Planet City It proposes a radical rethinking of a sustainable world in which humanity agrees to live with each other in a single, huge city, with much of the Earth handed over to a massive restoration project.

In addition to Young, Jennifer Chen, John Cooper, Damjan Jovanovic and Angelica Lorenzi are also building alternative visions of this shared future. The works are not limited to images and films of the over-dense megalopolis; It showcases the resulting artifacts: pixel-perfect satellite images, costumes and masks born from the fusion of global cultures, ceremonial relics of nature. and a video game simulation exploring the healing potential of artificial intelligence. Together, they weave familiar, contemporary technologies into an optimistic counter-image of urban sprawl. In addition to the featured artworks, the exhibition also highlights research materials that are driving the reimagining of the planet’s fate.
