BTech Student from Nellore Caught Red-handed Selling Drugs

Hyderabad: A B.Tech graduate from Nellore, who came to Hyderabad to learn software skills, was arrested by the Excise Special Task Force (STF) police for drug possession and dealing. The student, identified as Kattamanchi John, was caught with 7 grams of MDMA while allegedly trying to sell the drug near Sushma Theater in Kranti Hills Colony.

Acting on a tip-off, Excise STF officers carried out inspections near Vanasthalipuram’s SVR Garden and Kranti Hills Colony. Officers located a suspicious individual, later identified as John, near the Sushma Theatre. Following investigation, authorities seized John’s motorcycle and cell phone, as well as 7 grams of MDMA.

According to Excise Inspector and STF Team Leader Nandyala Anji Reddy, investigation revealed that John procured MDMA for Rs. 2,500 per gram and was trying to sell it for Rs. 5,000 per gram.
